Daddys Girl!
My two angels! For some people sleeping is just sleeping, but for Brad and Lucy, sleeping is a work of art! Have you seen a better looking sight? I could sit here and watch this all day. It has been so nice to have Brad here to help out. He is my biggest blessing and my best friend.
Too young for Tanning?...I guess not!
So Lucy's jaundice level reached a 16, and 2 is normal...and so, the doctors told us we had to put her under the Blue Billy lights. At first we were not really sure about it, but its actually a bed that she lays on top of, and it really is helping her jaundice. In the beginning Luce didn't really like it, but now I don't know how will ever get her to sleep in just a normal crib. She just lays out relaxing all day! Too cool for school!

Now Announcing!
So it is with deepest pride, and greatest pleasure that we present to you...The Sultan of Sweetness, the Queen of Cry, the Collossus of Cute, the Collossus of Cute, The Great Hambino...Lucy Jean Meldrum
Here is Rach, showing that Labor and Delivery is no match for her powers.
In fact millions of women across the world are getting pregnant, because she makes this look sooooo goooood!
A delicious Cranberry Grape Juice brought to us curtesy of the excellent and hospitable nurses. (Who are kinda like waiters sometimes.)
Check out the lips. Cutie Pie.
She had a nice cone head. Check it out. This is why babies lose weight and shrink before they go home, because the cone head dissappears.
I told you Labor and Delivery were nothing comared to the Dynamic Duo....Rach and Luce. If you look close, you can see Lucy spying on us with her one eye. Either that or glaring angrily at us for taking her away from her nice warm Uterus.
Here is that one eyed look again.
This is after the bath.
She has got a think for the one eyed stare down.
Still so cute.
So Rach is recovering well. The Delivery did go very well. Despite pushing for 2.5 hours Lucy came out well, and Rachel's doing good.
This concludes our presentation. Lucy is here, and we love her. And she is a cutie patootie.

So there we are!
So here we are...just chillin in the hospital. It is 10:24 PM, and we know where our child is at. Still in the tummy. But Rach is doing her best to get her out. She is having a contraction about once every 2 minutes. At first they small, but now they are getting larger.
So the original game plan was to have 3 pills inserted into her cervix, one every 4 hours. This was to get things going, but not until around 7:00 tomorrow. Well it seems that Rachel's body likes the pills. And she is probably going to start labor at 4:00 AM. And they are going to pull back on the pills probably.
But there is just an update for ya.
Cya Soon.
Brad, Rach, and Lucy.

Pregnancy Pictures!!!
So here are the goods. The Long awaited Pregnancy Pictures. Proof that we are in fact pregnant.
This was taken a while ago. We thought she had a good sized belly then! Ha Ha!
This was on our 1 year anniversary. She is getting a little bigger here.
Here she is at a good size. I forget the order that these were taken in, but I think this one was pretty recently.
Doing Good!
I bet those before and after pictures that dieting programs have, use pregnant women for the before picture.

So there you have it. Rach has a goal to loose that belly as soon as she can once Lucy gets out. Once... the LUCY FORCE triumphs over its foes!

The LUCY Force
Good afternoon. Thank you for coming to our briefing. This is the initial testing of the worlds leading team of Rescue Rangers. The Lucy force comprised of a team of 5 doctors, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Civilian Officers, and different contacts ranging from Texas to Missouri to New York have been briefed on their mission to retrieve the top secret "LUCY Project" from where she is being held. Reports indicate that the "LUCY Project" is currently found in uninhabitable conditions and if left there for too long, this priceless project that has been 9 months in the making, might sustain damages.
The plan of action is this. A special strike force will deactivate the shield generator holding "LUCY" captive. Then through natural and man made forces "LUCY" will be extracted and delivered to a safe location. We will be monitoring the health of everyone involved during this process and are confident that it will go according to plan. The scheduled date for this procedure is July 16, 2009. If there are no questions you are dismissed to receive your particular assignments.
Ok. All funny buisiness aside. Rachel has a condition called Intraheptic Cholestasis of Pregnancy. This means that her liver is not producing bile like it should. The bile normally breaks down chemicals in her blood that aren't broken down elsewhere in the body. Since these chemical (called bile acids) are not being broken down they are building up in her body, and some are being transfered to Lucy, and her liver is trying to do the job that Rachel's can't right now. There are some risks invovled but they are rare and everything should be fine. But to eliminate these risks, Rachel is scheduled to be induced on the 16th of July. This is a couple weeks early but Lucy sounds and looks good and Rachel's body is a little ahead of the game so it will most likely all go perfectly fine.
So there is just a little update for ya.
Thanks
